No doubt you still have unanswered questions.  Some of them may begin, “But my grandmother always said…” or “My beloved pastor, who was wise and good, told me….”

Remember where we began.  Our goal is not to engage in arguments, but to seek to know what the Scripture says.  We want to come to the truth revealed there.  I am convinced that God would not write us a book we cannot understand, nor would he hide his truth from us and then expect us to know it.  He promises to reward those who earnestly seek him (Hebrews 11:6) and the reward of careful and diligent study of His word is that we can come to know Him and His will for us.

Some questions are in the form of, “But what about….”  What about the one who hears of Christ in the last moments of life and has no time to be baptized?  What about the person who was taught that baptism was of no value?  For such questions, one can only trust in the goodness and wisdom of God.  These are management decisions and I am merely in sales.  The owner may grant a special deal.  He is the owner and the sole decider.  He is perfect in his righteousness and holiness.  He is perfect in knowledge and wisdom.  I am confident of two things:  that God will do the right thing and that, at that moment, we all will agree in the rightness of his decision.

However, the real question of this study is, “What about you?”  Like the three thousand on the day of Pentecost, we each must ask, “What shall I do?”  (Acts 2:37)
