Precious Lord, I give you thanks.
I praise you for your gentle, constant care.
In a world of want and worry, you bring me to a place of peace and plenty.
Let me find rest in your abundance;
Contentment in the sweet clover of your spacious pasture,
Calmed by the murmur of the stream of living water, the music of life and eternity.
O Lord, the world weighs on me, drains me, wearies me.
Lord, when I am emptied, fill me with yourself. Restore my soul within me
And lead me back to you. Lead me back to praise, Lord. I praise your name.

So much of the world is beyond my control, so much beyond my understanding.
There is so much evil, too much darkness.
Let me see your light in the deepest darkness.
Let me hear your voice above the noise.
“Do not be afraid,” you tell me and I am comforted,
For you count me as your own and set your shield before me.

In this too often corrupt and broken place,
Let me live daily in your presence, Lord; be ever near to me.
May I feast at your table and experience the abundance of your promise
As your spirit pours down on me and I am overcome by blessing.

Lord, let me never stop praising you for the goodness you have shown to me
And for your steadfast love, today and every day of my life.
Prepare me, Lord, for my heavenly home
And for eternity in your embrace.
